- The name Scott/Mathauser Corp. is synonymous with some of the highest quality bicycle brake pads available and we take pride in ourselves for the reputation! Same unique and innovative designs you are no doubt familiar with!
- The production process for Scott/Mathauser Brake Pads has virtually been unchanged! We still use “Foot an Leg Power” to insert studs into the castings. Pad Adhesive is applied by hand. Pads are inserted by hand and then allowed to Cure overnight.
- Yes...Time Consuming! Oh...And we usually have Mozart or Pavarotti playing in the background!
- Needless to say, the Scott SuperBrake takes hours to assemble!

- If you take cycling seriously, being able to control your braking and stopping with confidence is imperative. We are known for having “The Best”! Independent tests conducted in the past verify! We are not trying to be the Cheapest!
- For example...Our Classic Road Pads featured here, are now assembled with 13mm stud reveal. This was by request from a “Select Shop” and required tooling changes. Made in a small town in Idaho! No... I do not know what music is playing in the background!
